LET THE BEAUTY OF JESUS BE SEEN IN YOU

Friends, the dedicated Mission of Discovering A BETTER LIFE MINISTRIES is in sharing the good news that God has made it possible for men and women to be reconciled with himself through entering into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). This is a reality that we treasure and enjoy by trusting that it is true.

LET THE BEAUTY OF JESUS
BE SEEN IN YOU
Friend, today I’d like to introduce you to my best friend. His name is Jesus and He is a friend who can help you more than anyone you will ever know.
God is my friend’s Father. Jesus was with God before the world came into being and was a partner in the creation. Later there was a time when everyone had forgotten God. They were ignorant of Him and the loving relationship He wanted to have with His people. They thought they could do everything alone and they rejected God’s guidance.
Because the world was dark and broken by sinfulness, God sent His son Jesus to live as a person on earth just like you and me. Jesus knew what it was like to be cold and hungry, to work hard, to have friends and enemies, to be loved and to be rejected. He knew poverty and suffering as a young man in a suppressed nation, and yet, he willingly spent his life as a servant although his Father was God of the universe.
Jesus fed the hungry, gave sight to the blind, and made the lame able to walk. He healed people who had the dreadful disease of leprosy which made them outcasts because others were afraid of them. As the Great Physician he healed not only physical diseases, but he also came to bring peace to those who had social disputes and told people to replace their hate with love. His most earnest desire was to show a more satisfying way of life which put emphasis more on people than on collecting things.
My friend, the love Jesus had for me was so special, so strong, that my best Friend was willing to give up His life for my acts of wrong. God wants us to be able to live with Him throughout eternity, but God is holy and cannot live where sin is present. You see, sin must be punished or forgiven. And because Jesus is the only man who lived and truly did no wrong, He went to the cross and paid the penalty necessary to forgive our sins.

The cross in Jesus’ day was not only a very painful instrument of death; it was also connected with shame and the worst of worst criminals. However, Jesus, the Son of God, a pure, innocent man full of love, goodness, and compassion came to earth, lived the life of a physician and teacher, died the death of a criminal in order that you and I could be forgiven of our sins, and go to live with God forever in a place where there is no suffering, no crime, no violence, no prejudice—only that which is good.
What a wonderful friend we have in Jesus! While we are here on earth we can be part of the church, which has been described as the earthly body of Jesus. Through that church we can find an extended family. Within that family we can love and be loved, help and be helped, serve and be served.
God wants every person who has ever been born to live with Him forever. It is so comforting to know God listens to us when we talk to Him. It is so wonderful to read His Word and get to know Him better and better as we read about the life of Jesus and what He wants for our life.
What a wonderful Saviour! He loves and blesses me so much and will do the same for you. That is, if you want to be His friend! Thank you for allowing me to introduce you to the beauty of Jesus. I’m certain of one thing: each of us needs this wonderful Saviour. I do! And you do too!
Friend, the following words of the Hymn, “Let the Beauty of Jesus Be Seen in Me," mean a great deal to me. I sincerely hope they’ll mean the same for you;
“Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in me;
All His wonderful passion and purity;
May His spirit divine all my being refine,
Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in me."
My friend, if you have entered into a personal saving relationship with Jesus, then that once in a lifetime decision and action strengthens you for the life of faith every day!
The future belongs to you because you are in Christ. I love Jesus and have found in Him forgiveness of sins, power to live by His Spirit, and a purpose that will transcend death. He is my all in all. That’s why, by the words I say and the way I live, I seek to say with the Apostle Paul, “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21). This indeed, is the beauty and necessity of being in a personal beautiful relationship with Jesus!
Friend, if you would like to know more about Jesus, we would be happy to send you a small booklet titled “Who is this Jesus?” It won’t cost you anything, but it might enable you to enjoy a powerful and personal relationship with my best Friend, who also loved you enough, to die for you in order that you might experience freedom and peace of mind.
